The Daily Motivator - www.GreatDay.com Tuesday, June 3, 2003Joy and sorrowIn life there is some sorrow. And in life there is also joy. The sorrows show you who you are and what is truly important. The joys show you how incredibly wonderful all of that can be. The sorrows help you understand how good things have been. The joys give you a magnificent glimpse, and spur you on, toward how much better they can be. If there was no possibility of sorrow, then there would be no experience of joy. In this way both sorrow and joy add to the overall richness of life. In sorrow you grow stronger, and in joy you put that strength to positive use. In sorrow you learn profoundly painful lessons, and in joy you create good things from what you have learned. The sorrows will come, and the joys will come too. Each has their place in filling life with richness and meaning.
